A Case Study of College Students’ EFL Learning Experiences on Mobile Phone Applications

Mobile English learning (MEL) has become increasingly popular for its diverse advantages especially since the global COVID-19 pandemic. While a lot of studies have confirmed effectiveness mobile approach to in pedagogical context, there is very limited research that focuses on how students’ MEL experiences vary depending their individual habits and behaviors out class. This study aimed explore college as foreign language (EFL) phone terminals. To this end, was conducted with sample 359 undergraduate students from 5 different grades by looking into time spent after class applications (MPA), practice preferences MEL, number MPA used views helpfulness EFL MPA. The quantitative results derived provide relatively comprehensive knowledge present situation higher education context. Statistically significant findings are hopefully offer insights both policymakers instructors institutions understand promote more scientific multi-dimensional perspectives.
